55: Lucky you

Belief is a strong force, even stronger than hope. And at times, when we can’t carry that belief in our hearts or minds, we save it in talismans, lucky charms and rituals. As much I would like to deny it, I have experimented to see if various objects and rituals could hold some luck for me.

It has never worked out and I stopped trying years ago. It is hilarious now that I think about it. I thought lucky pens could get me through exams, lucky earrings could get me through a bad day or lucky socks could get me through a competition. However, as cliche as it may sound, it’s all you at the end of the day.

It’s your energy that you believe a lucky charm holds and you can harness the same energy at will, if you practice enough.

  1. Yes, belief is stronger than hope.I have seen people carrying their lucky charm in their important events. Even if they were not happy with the outcome, they still believe they are saved from the worst. Whatever has to happen will happen. It is our belief, end of the day which wins.
